The Routine library and copying
Keep ready-made routines in Gym TeamHub's Routine library and copy a routine to many gymnasts at once — names, clashes, and competition routines.
The Routine library holds routines with their skills filled in — the Level 10 bars routine most of the level starts from, say — so a coach builds one once and adds it to as many gymnasts as need it. Open it from Routine library on the Routines home.
Library routines
A library routine belongs to no gymnast. The library lists them by event, each with its estimated start value.
- New library routine asks for the discipline, the event and a template, then opens the usual form. See Building a routine.
- Save to library takes a gymnast's routine into the library: open the routine, choose Copy, then Save to library. It opens as a new library routine with the same skills, and nothing is saved until you save it.
- New routine lists the library's routines under Routine library in its Start from step, so a gymnast's routine can start from one.
Note
A library routine never carries a gymnast's name. Save to library takes the gymnast's first and last name out of the routine's name, so "Tess's L10 bars" starts as "L10 bars". It only knows the name on the roster — check for a nickname or initials before you save.
Copying to gymnasts
Two ways in, with the same picker:
- Add to gymnasts on a library routine.
- Copy → Copy to gymnasts on a gymnast's routine.
The picker lists active gymnasts of the routine's discipline by level, with Select all on each level and a search on a long list. Pick up to 100 at a time; the button counts them ("Copy to 5 gymnasts").
Each gymnast gets their own copy. Changing a copy later never touches the original or anyone else's, and deleting a library routine leaves the copies where they are.
Names
The copies share one name. Copy to gymnasts shows it in a Name field, filled in with the routine's name.
If that name mentions the gymnast the routine came from, the picker says so — "This name mentions Tess. Families of the gymnasts you pick will see it." Change the name before you copy.
A gymnast can't have two routines of the same name on one event. Anyone who already has that name is marked Already has, and Select all leaves them out. Pick one of them anyway and the picker names who — "Ada already has “L10 bars” on Uneven Bars." — with two ways out:
- Skip ("Skip Ada") unpicks them.
- Rename the copies ("Rename" on a phone) opens the Name field and fills in a name none of them has yet. With the field open, the button reads Suggest a name. On Copy to gymnasts the Name field is always open, so it reads Suggest a name from the start.
Competition routines
A copy becomes the competition routine for every gymnast picked who has none on that event. A trophy beside a name means that gymnast already has one — tap it to see which. To switch them over too, check Also make it the competition routine for… at the bottom; their old routine stays on their list.
If something's refused
Copying is all or nothing. If any gymnast can't take the copy, the picker says "Nothing was copied." and why, and nobody gets one. Once the copies are made, the message that says so ("Copied to 5 gymnasts.") offers Undo for a few seconds.
Coaches & staff
The library and copying are for owners, directors and coaches. Admins and parents don't see the library, and parents can't copy routines.
