Privacy and notifications

Two sets of switches control your day-to-day experience: what other members can see about you, and what the app taps you on the shoulder about.

Privacy (parents)

From the hub's Settings page, parents control their own visibility:

• Email and phone — whether other members see your contact info.
• Gymnast's level — whether other families see your gymnast's level on the roster.
• Gymnast's birthday — whether your gymnast's birthday shows to other families, on the team calendar and on mentorship cards. One switch governs both. Off means nothing appears on the team calendar at all — not for other families, not for staff, and not for you. On mentorship cards it is narrower: other families see nothing, but your own family still sees the birthday (a cake icon with the month and day) on your gymnast's card, and so does the coaching staff, who can read birthdays on the gymnast's profile regardless.

Your birthday (staff)

If you're a coach, admin, director or owner, Account Settings has a Birthday section with your date of birth and one switch: Show my birthday on the team calendar.

• It's off until you turn it on, so nothing appears until you say so.
• It covers every hub you're on staff at — one answer, not one per gym.
• The calendar shows the month and day only. Your birth year is never published.
• Your full date of birth stays visible to you and to your hub's owner or director, who see it on your staff profile. Other coaches, parents and athletes cannot see it.

Your birthday is yours to set — it's edited in Account Settings, not by your gym's owner.

Notification controls

Choose which features notify you — Announcements, Messages, Groups, Calendar, Meets & Camps, Skills (Progress Reports and Placement Reports), Marketplace, Resources, Appointments, and (for staff) Sign-ups, Staff Tasks and Certifications — plus, for owners, directors and coaches, Coach notes, which you can also mute one meet at a time from the bell on its Coach Notes tab. Turn off what you don't want; badges and feed entries follow the same choices. On the web these toggles live behind the notification bell's settings; in the app, under Settings → Notifications.

Meets & Camps covers new meets and camps, sign-ups opening, and your gymnast being added to a roster. If your gymnast comes off a roster, that always shows in your notification list, whatever this switch says, and it never sends a push.

New meet scores, skill changes and practice assignments don't send notifications; open Scores, Skills or Assignments to see what's new. For families on the web, the Scores, Skills and Assignments switches also turn off the dot on those tabs.

A reply from Gym TeamHub Support isn't one of these switches. When we answer a message or a report you sent us, the reply is under Support in the notification bell, and your phone gets a push that says only that there's a new message.
