Tracking progress
Assignment completion stats in Gym TeamHub — the coach dashboard, per-gymnast stats, and the Stat Controls for hiding or resetting them.
Checked-off work rolls up into completion stats — visible on the coach dashboard, on each gymnast's profile, and (as progress rings) to families.
The Dashboard sub-tab
The Assignments tab's Dashboard gives a day-by-day overview of assignments across the program — what was assigned, what got completed, level by level.
Per-gymnast stats
Each athlete's profile carries their own assignment stats, so a "how consistent have they been?" question has a data answer over any stretch of the season.
Stat Controls
Not every gym wants percentages front and center — for younger groups especially, the number can become the point instead of the work. Settings → Stat Controls gives owners and directors three levers:
- Show Assignment Stats — a hub-wide switch for completion percentages and progress bars, everywhere in the app (including families' progress rings and the Dashboard sub-tab itself). Check-offs keep working when hidden; there's just no score shown.
- Reset Assignment Stats — resets the stats baseline to today (undoable). Stats only count work from the reset forward — a clean slate at season start without deleting any history.
- Absences Excuse Assignments — on by default. See below.
Owners & directors
All three are hub-wide. Hiding stats doesn't change what coaches assign or check off — it only changes what's displayed.
When a gymnast wasn't there
With Absences Excuse Assignments on, a day a gymnast is marked absent doesn't count against them. The work leaves the stat entirely — top and bottom of the fraction — so a missed practice is neutral rather than a zero.
Three things worth knowing:
- It needs a real attendance record. No attendance taken is not the same as absent, so a day nobody recorded changes nothing either way — the same fairness rule attendance percentages follow.
- Only absent excuses. Late and left early still count; they were there.
- Nothing is rewritten when you take attendance. The excusal is worked out fresh each time a number is displayed, so recording attendance at the end of the day — or fixing it next week — corrects the stats retroactively, with nothing to clean up.
Switch it off and absences count like any other day.
Overriding a single card
Each assignment card's ⋮ menu carries Counts toward stats:
- Auto — follow the rules above. It spells out what it worked out, like "Auto — excused, absent", so you can see whether overriding would change anything before you touch it.
- Yes — always counts, absence or not.
- No — never counts.
The % chip on the card face is still a one-click toggle while it's the thing deciding the answer. Once an override or an excusal outranks it, it turns into a read-only badge naming the real reason instead — a chip reading "counts" on a block the stats are ignoring would be lying.
Parents
On your gymnast's assignments, a day they were marked absent reads "Excused — absent" rather than an unfinished checklist.
