Floor music shortlist
How floor music gets chosen in GymTeamHub — families submit a ranked shortlist, coaches review and pick the winner.
Choosing floor music used to be a text thread with six links in it. The Floor Music sub-tab of Choreography turns it into a workflow: families submit candidates, the staff picks a winner, and one click sets it as the gymnast's floor music.
Submitting (families)
Submit a shortlist of up to 10 songs, ranked in the order you add them, with an optional note per song ("she loves this one," "grandma's pick"). A shortlist can't be edited after you submit it — but you can add another batch later, and delete your own songs while they're still waiting for review.
You'll see each song's status move from waiting to reviewed. The winner becomes your gymnast's floor music once the staff sets it; the others show as "Not selected."
Reviewing (owners, directors, or the floor-music coordinator)
The review queue groups submissions by gymnast — newest batch first, in the family's ranked order. Counters at the top track gymnasts waiting for review and picked winners ready to go. A hub can designate a floor-music coordinator so one coach owns the queue; owners and directors can always review.
Expand a gymnast's card to listen through the candidates, then:
- Pick this one chooses the winner (the rest can be rejected in one move, and you can attach a note explaining the pick).
- Set as floor music pushes the winner onto the gymnast's profile — the same file that plays from the roster's floor music library.
Coaches & staff
Coaches can also upload a gymnast's floor music directly on their profile — the shortlist flow is for when the family drives the choice and the staff makes the call.
